Pennsylvania harp player and singer Mike Mettalia had a life-long dream to record with some authentic Chicago legends in the home of the blues. He teamed up with long-time friend Johnny Burgin to make it happen in the summer of 2016. Sadly, this was his last recording before he was taken by ALS in the Spring of 2018.
The recordings of Mary Lane Little Jerry Jones and Milwaukee Slim, all under-recorded singers-- prove them all to be masters of the genre. Tom Mazzolini Blues By the Bay Show KPFA-FM Berkeley, Producer San Francisco Blues Festival, wrote this about Chicago/The Blues Legends/Today: "What this outstanding album says to blues fans is that the Chicago blues scene continues to be vital and authentic. Sam Charters would be proud of this effort."

Johnny learned his craft in Chicago, touring and recording with many blues masters such as Pinetop Perkins, Billy Boy Arnold, Sam Lay and Tail Dragger. Johnny performs close to 200 shows a year in Europe, Japan and coast to coast in the US.
